HAMM Compactors For National Highway Construction
In recent months, HAMM compactors have been laying the foundations for a better road network in Punjab. An example is the construction of the new National Highway NH-52 from Moga to Shahkot. For compaction of the subbase, the construction firm Dilip Buildcon Ltd. employed several HAMM compactors-311. They are “made in India” – produced in WIRTGEN India’s own factory in Pune. In Punjab, the new NH-52, is under construction with two lanes in each direction. The new road will provide many communities with better links to the national road network. In some parts, the existing carriageways are being refurbished and widened; in other sections, totally new roads are being constructed. Earthwork and asphalt construction on the almost 33km long section was carried out by Dilip Buildcon Ltd., a construction firm from Bhopal. The company has been successfully working with WIRTGEN India for almost 10 years and has now assembled a fleet of more than 100 HAMM rollers. For compaction of the subbase for the new road around Moga, Dilip Buildcon employed eight type-311 compactors. For the asphalt compaction, many HAMM type HD 99 tandem rollers were used. HAMM produces both machine types in its own factory in India. The 311 compactors with the unique HAMM 3-point articulation are developed especially for India by a joint German- Indian team of engineers and has been in production in Pune for some years. With an operating weight of 11t and a 2.14m wide vibration drum it brings high compaction force and a large static linear load of up to 30 kg/cm to the construction site. This enables the machine to perform a wide range of tasks with ease.
For further information, contact:The environment-friendly engine in the 311 compactor is in accordance with CBV BS III and is remarkably quiet and economical. To take account of the often extremely high temperatures in India, the engine of the compactor has been specially designed to facilitate operation at up to 55°C. It goes without saying that the compactor complies with Indian laws and regulations in every detail, from the engine and the lighting system all the way to the specific dimensions. Alongside the performance and reliability of the HAMM rollers, service quality is a decisive factor for Dilip Buildcon Ltd. This is where HAMM, WIRTGEN India, stands out with its competent staff, a dense network of service locations and prompt delivery of spare parts and wearing parts.
